According to technology media testingcatalog, Anthropic is expected to upgrade Claude's voice mode this week, supporting the use of stronger models Opus and Sonnet. Currently, Claude's voice mode uniformly uses the Haiku 4.5 model, allowing users to have only basic voice conversations with AI. After the upgrade, users will have three model options, significantly enhancing the voice interaction capabilities.
Three model options available, adjustable thinking levels
Latest news says that Anthropic will provide a new model selector, allowing users to freely switch between three models: Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, with settings options to control the "thinking" level next to them. This means users can choose different model capabilities based on the complexity of the conversation. Use the lightweight Haiku for casual chats and switch to Opus for in-depth discussions. However, the company's Mythos-level flagship model, Claude Fable, is not currently available in the voice options and is expected to be included in future versions.
