Infrastructure investment in the field of artificial intelligence is experiencing a new wave of growth. According to insiders, data center developer Nexus Data Centers is currently engaged in in-depth negotiations around a $1.5 billion financing plan. This project aims to provide funding support for a large AI data center of Anthropic located in Texas, USA, with technology giant Google playing a crucial role as a guarantor and chip supplier.

According to the planning details, if Anthropic fails to fulfill its lease and electricity payment obligations in the future, Google will provide debt guarantees worth several billion dollars. This guarantee comprehensively covers multiple data center lease agreements signed by Anthropic, as well as power purchase contracts linked to on-site power plants. By providing strong credit support, Google not only deeply binds its core partners but also expects to gain about a 20% equity return from this data center and related power projects.

In addition to financial support, the hardware core of this data center will also fully align with Google's technology ecosystem. Anthropic plans to deploy large-scale tensor processing unit (TPU) chips designed by Google and Broadcom in the local area. Industry insiders point out that the procurement of these customized chips will be implemented through an independent supplier financing agreement between Anthropic and Broadcom. As the demand for computing power for large models continues to surge, collaboration and capital integration between leading cloud vendors and AI unicorns are becoming increasingly close.
