A new major player emerges in the AI chip field with a large-scale fundraising. The AI chip startup Fractile is currently raising about 600 million dollars with a pre-money valuation of 6.5 billion dollars. According to sources, Fractile had a valuation of around 1 billion dollars when it concluded its previous fundraising in May this year, but the current valuation has surged more than sixfold in just a few months.
The sharp increase in the company's valuation was driven by securing a significant business contract. Fractile has signed a fundamental partnership agreement with Anthropic and will sell about 250 million dollars worth of AI chips to the latter. The two companies plan to further expand their collaboration. Based on the current progress, the relevant chips are expected to be officially launched in 2027.
Fractile, established in 2022, is an innovative company specializing in the research and development of AI inference chips. The company's core technology aims to significantly reduce the time required for artificial intelligence to generate answers or solve complex problems, and it is attempting to open up a new competitive route in the AI chip market, which was previously dominated by Intel and Nvidia.
