August 24th news: A consumer posted that the SKhynix flagship store on Taobao and Tmall suddenly announced the termination of its operations, raising concerns about after-sales warranty issues for purchased memory products. The store's homepage shows that the store plans to independently terminate its operations on September 9, 2026, has already removed all products, and cannot be directly searched on Taobao.
The People's Daily reported on August 24th by calling the company listed in the store's public operation information, Tianjin Haili Shi Technology Co., Ltd., but failed to get through. The company was established in July 2020, with a registered capital of 1 million yuan, and its business scope includes technical services, machinery and equipment sales, etc.
After consulting with multiple SK Hynix storage product dealers on Taobao and JD.com, the reporter found that different stores operate independently, and after-sales service is usually handled by each store itself. Some merchants provide services such as "five-year warranty, replacement instead of repair." Taobao customer service stated that if the order is still within the after-sales period after the store closes, consumers can try to initiate a repair or refund application through the order details page; if there is no after-sales access or the seller does not handle it, they can contact the platform customer service for assistance, or check whether the product supports brand official warranty.
SK Hynix was founded in 1983, and was renamed SK Hynix after being acquired by the SK Group in 2012. It mainly produces DRAM, NAND Flash, MCP, and other storage products, and has production bases in Icheon, Cheongju in South Korea, and Wuxi, Chongqing in China. It also has sales and R&D bases in 16 countries and regions around the world. The termination of this flagship store once again highlights the importance of brand authorization, channel entities, and after-sales responsibility boundaries in online storage hardware sales.
