The world's first AI agent smartphone, the Nubia NaviX Ultra, has officially obtained the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) network access license, completing all compliance procedures from large model filing to terminal network access. It will be officially launched for sale in September 2026. As the second-generation mass-produced flagship equipped with the Doubao mobile assistant, the release of this device marks the transition of AI agent smartphones from the concept verification stage to the stage of large-scale commercialization.
Different from traditional AI phones that only use AI as an independent application or auxiliary function, the Nubia NaviX Ultra integrates the large model agent directly into the operating system's core, upgrading it into a system-level core engine. With this new architecture, the phone is capable of cross-application screen recognition and simulated clicks.
Users can simply issue complex commands through natural language, such as "book the cheapest flight for tomorrow," and the AI can autonomously complete cross-app search, price comparison, and information filling, only requiring user confirmation at the final payment stage. This truly realizes a shift in the interaction paradigm from "people operating the phone" to "AI handling tasks on behalf of people." In terms of privacy and security, all memory and computations are completed locally on the phone, with no data uploaded to the cloud, effectively safeguarding personal information security.
Industry experts believe that against the backdrop of multiple new smartphone models being released in September, Nubia and ByteDance's Doubao have deeply integrated software and hardware to enter the AI agent market, building a compliance and engineering implementation advantage early. This will accelerate the systematic restructuring of human-computer interaction experiences on mobile terminals.
