On September 10, at the Health Industry Development Insights Forum of the Shanghai Bund Conference, Zhang Junjie, Vice President of Ant Group and President of Ant Health Business Group, disclosed that the latest user count of Ant Afu App has reached 150 million, with nearly 20 million daily health consultation sessions. On the same day, Afu announced increased investment in its health strategy, expanding health services from weight management to five key scenarios: exercise, diet, sleep, and mental health. A new health section has been added to the App's homepage, making it easier for users to access health services and better understand, manage, and be cared about their health status.

Shifting the focus of health protection forward, from "disease-centered" to "health-centered," is not only a personal need but also the core path for China's construction of a "Healthy China." The National Health "14th Five-Year Plan" clearly states that we should optimize health services for all people, throughout the entire life cycle, strengthen health promotion and disease prevention. The rapid development of Ant Afu's health services aligns with this social need and trend.
AI Enters Daily Health Management, Afu App's Latest User Count Reaches 150 Million
Previously, "health management" was an unfamiliar and distant concept for many, lacking sufficient awareness and effective management tools. This led to widespread overweight, sleep disorders, and high blood pressure among sub-healthy populations, becoming the source of the aging of chronic diseases and the increase in patients with serious illnesses.
With the steady progress of the "Healthy China" initiative, "health" has now become the top priority in people's lives. According to a survey by Accenture, from 2021 to 2025, the concern for health among Chinese people increased by 9 percentage points, reaching as high as 87%, far exceeding career and wealth, ranking first.
The continuous development of health AI has given ordinary people the "weapon" for health management, becoming part of daily life. Since the App was launched last June, Afu's health AI has developed rapidly: within half a year, the user base exceeded 100 million, and today's latest user count has reached 150 million, with nearly 20 million daily health consultation sessions, making it the world's largest professional health AI App.
Ant Afu pioneered the "AI + hardware + service" health management collaboration model, promoting the popularization of health management actions. In response to the national "Weight Management Year," Afu launched the "Scientific Weight Loss 100 Million Catties" health action in mid-June this year. So far, more than 2.75 million netizens across the country have participated, with cumulative weight loss exceeding 500 million catties. Among them, over 230,000 Afu users lost 5-10 catties, more than 50,000 users lost 10-20 catties, and over 80,000 users' BMI changed from overweight/obese to normal.

Through participating in the "Scientific Weight Loss" on the Afu App, many users first learned about their body fat rate and BMI data, and also clearly understood how to continuously manage their health and take action. Afu also introduced the "AI Food Photography" service, which uses AI to analyze the calories and nutritional composition of each meal, filling a crucial gap in the "scientific weight loss" process.
A New Health Section Has Been Added to the Afu App Homepage, Making It Easier to Manage Your Health
In the exploration and investment of health management services, Afu continues to increase efforts. At the forum, Ant Afu announced that health services will expand from weight management to five key scenarios: exercise, diet, sleep, mental health, and weight, and continue to work with ecosystem partners to upgrade professional services.
At the same time, the default "Afu Chatbox" interaction on the Afu App homepage now includes a new "Health" section, making it more convenient for individuals and families to proactively manage their health.

Journalists experienced the Afu App and found that the new homepage makes it easier to find services: clearly displaying three service entrances—Afu Chatbox, Health, and Medical Care. Users can open the chatbox to interact with AI through voice or text, automatically accessing various services in the health and medical sections, or directly click on the corresponding section to reach the service.
In the health section, users can view over ten health metrics such as weight and sleep by binding smartwatches and bracelets or recording daily diet information, receiving intuitive health status scores and personalized analysis and health advice.

Afu will actively care for and remind users based on past memories, such as "Protein intake this week is too low" or "Sleep duration fluctuates, how to adjust," gradually becoming a true health friend. In addition, Afu has gradually launched services like "AI Food Photography," "AI Energy Management," and "AI Weight Loss Coach," allowing users to easily access professional health services such as dietary improvement and scientific weight loss at a low cost.
