According to "Du Jia," Tencent's Tongyuan large model has recently officially launched an expert platform called "Tongyuan Think Tank" for external industry talents. The platform's slogan is "Gather Intelligence for Strategy, Lead the Future." This platform aims to connect senior experts in more than a dozen vertical fields such as finance, law, medicine, code programming, front-end design aesthetics, translation, and literary creation through an online order-taking and task-based payment model, providing high-quality data set production, professional content writing, and knowledge review services for the Tongyuan large model.
According to the platform's introduction, experts do not need to work on-site; they use a remote collaboration model throughout. Experts can match tasks based on their professional backgrounds and participate in key stages such as data collection, content processing, and effect optimization of the Tongyuan large model. The platform also has a complete rights incentive and growth system: after completing tasks and passing multiple levels of review, experts can receive full labor compensation; high-quality specialized tasks offer higher rates. At the same time, all cooperating experts can obtain an official Tongyuan Think Tank expert identity certificate from Tencent. The platform also has a dynamic rating system, where higher ratings mean priority in undertaking high-difficulty and high-value tasks.
Notably, Tencent is not the first major manufacturer to build an external expert ecosystem. ByteDance previously launched the Xpert expert community, using a similar model to provide professional data optimization and capability iteration support for the Dou Bao large model. The two internet giants have both increased their investment, marking that the competition for talent in the AI industry has shifted from high-salary recruitment of full-time algorithm researchers to the competition for existing professional talents across society.
Industry insiders analyze that with the increasing maturity of general large model technology, traditional open-source data from the Internet is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of accurate answers and commercial application in strongly regulated areas such as healthcare, law, and finance. The launch of the Tongyuan Think Tank is a crucial step for Tencent to integrate external expert resources and build a differentiated technical barrier in vertical scenarios. This silent competition around "industry knowledge" may determine the true winner in the next stage of large model deployment.
