OpenAI announced yesterday that the ChatGPT mobile app will add a voice-based agent feature, allowing users to complete tasks such as writing documents and summarizing emails by speaking.
According to the information, Pro and Plus subscribers can create documents, write emails, or summarize Slack messages on their phones, and also perform advanced operations such as creating websites, making PPTs, and using a cloud browser; Free and Go subscribers can use plugins and connected applications.
OpenAI stated that the voice conversation in ChatGPT will provide richer text output. Plus subscribers can easily switch between text and voice, or handle tasks on their phone and then continue on their computer. Overall, this update takes ChatGPT's voice interaction from "Q&A" to end-to-end task execution that can actually get things done.
