At the opening ceremony of the 26th China International Industrial Exhibition, Wang Xingxing, the founder of Yumao Technology, a leading company in embodied intelligence in China, delivered a new speech. Looking back on his entrepreneurial journey, he admitted that the biggest mistake he made in the past decade was not believing enough in the development of artificial intelligence technology.
Regarding the widely concerned question of when embodied intelligence will see a breakthrough, Wang Xingxing provided an extremely specific standard. He believes that when robots can complete 80% of tasks just by relying on human voice commands in 80% of unfamiliar and unknown scenarios, the commercial turning point and breakthrough of the entire industry will officially arrive.
According to his latest prediction, with the accelerating integration of large models and robot hardware technology, this industry threshold could occur as early as within the next one or two years. At that time, robots will truly break through the limitations of specific industrial scenarios and accelerate towards more extensive application areas.
