According to the latest estimates from third-party aggregation platform OpenRouter, in the week of October 19–25, total call volume for global large AI models hit 188 trillion tokens, up 14.63% from the previous week, as momentum in commercial adoption continued to rise.

Breaking down the pie, models from Chinese vendors recorded a combined 93.54 trillion tokens in calls last week, up 18.14% week over week; US models came in at 22.47 trillion tokens. Although their week-over-week growth reached 29.44%, their scale is nowhere near China's. This marks the 26th consecutive week that Chinese large models’ weekly call volume has surpassed the US and held the global top spot—the breadth of China’s AI deployment across all B2B and B2C scenarios has already given it a clear scale advantage over overseas markets.

Even more notable is the ranking. Last week, all top five spots on the global total call volume leaderboard were swept by Chinese AI large models, with not a single leading overseas product making it into the top five—a rarity in the history of the ranking. Behind the gap in base scale is a divergence in application-side activity: Chinese models are widely used in high-frequency scenarios such as office work, customer service, and content creation, pushing call volume up to massive scale; meanwhile, growth for overseas products comes more from higher-priced enterprise-grade deployments, where individual deals are valuable but total volume struggles to catch up.

The model that topped the list was V4.1-Flash-1017, with weekly call volume of 33.6 trillion tokens, up a stunning 801% week over week, making it the fastest-rising breakout model globally in recent memory. A single product accounted for nearly one-fifth of total global call volume, showing just how concentrated the market is at the top.
