On November 3, at the 2026 National Outstanding Popular Science Books Recommendation and Release and Sanjin Culture Large Model Launch Event, China's first vertical large model focused on Shanxi regional culture—"Jinwen AI"—was officially announced to be launched, and its exclusive digital human "Jindou" also made its public debut. The project is guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, undertaken by Shanxi Publishing & Media Group, and specifically implemented by Shanxi Chunqiu Electronic Audio-Visual Publishing House. It has now been officially included in the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Shanxi Province.
Rooted in authoritative publishing: building a "LLM+RAG+Agent" technological moat
As a digital carrier of Shanxi's profound history and culture, "Jinwen AI" adopts an advanced LLM+RAG+Agent architecture. At the underlying large model capability level, it integrates mainstream large model technologies such as Tencent Hunyuan and DeepSeek; for knowledge base construction, it relies on authoritative book content from eight publishing houses under Shanxi Publishing & Media Group that has undergone strict "three reviews and three proofreadings."
In response to the industry pain point that large models are prone to hallucinations, the project team has provided strict technical safeguards: the model's knowledge retrieval accuracy is as high as 99%, the hallucination rate is strictly controlled within 1%, and response latency does not exceed 200 milliseconds. At the same time, core cultural data is stored encrypted to ensure that data does not leave the domain, balancing professionalism and security.
Seven major cultural agents fully implemented, empowering cultural tourism and distinctive industries
In specific application scenarios, "Jinwen AI" has built a structural system of "one foundation, 7 intelligent knowledge bases, and N applications," covering seven cultural agents: Know Sanjin, Identify Ancient Architecture, Understand Shanxi Merchants, Trace Roots, Design Cultural and Creative Products, Visit Eminent Figures, and Recall the Flames of War.
Design Cultural and Creative Products: It can input core resources such as traditional patterns from the publishing group's books into the large model, generate cultural and creative proposals with local characteristics in one click, and quickly present them through 3D printing.
Trace Roots: Centered on the widely known cultural symbol "Where is my ancestral home? The great locust tree in Hongtong, Shanxi," it tells the origins of surnames and family history in depth.
Identify Ancient Architecture: It supports photo recognition to instantly analyze the construction era and historical and cultural background of ancient Chinese architecture.
Understand Shanxi Merchants: It systematically sorts out the grand historical threads of Shanxi merchants, whose business wisdom also offers inspiration for contemporary entrepreneurs.
In addition, the large model has achieved innovative implementation in the cultural tourism industry. For example, through "AI+AR smart glasses," it acts as a portable tour guide, providing visitors with immersive explanations of scenic spots' history and cultural background. This application has currently been signed and implemented at the Shanxi Merchants Museum.
Repeatedly recognized by the industry, helping Sanjin culture move toward a digital future
Looking back at its development, "Jinwen AI" has received multiple honors since its advancement: in January 2026, it was selected for Shanxi Province's "open competition" task list in the data field; in April, it was selected as the lead unit of the Shanxi Provincial Data Bureau's "Cultural Industry Standard Digitalization Industry Application Group"; in August, it won the Most Innovative Technology Award at Shanxi Province's "Data Element ×" Competition; and it has successively appeared at the Shenzhen Cultural Industries Fair, the Beijing International Book Fair, and the China International Digital Publishing Expo.
At present, the official website and mini-program of "Jinwen AI" have completed all functional debugging and been officially launched. The project team said it hopes to comprehensively empower the development of cultural tourism and related industries through the large model, allowing Shanxi's rich history and culture to regain vitality in the digital age and attracting more people to visit Shanxi, understand Shanxi, and fall in love with Shanxi.
