Alibaba Cloud recently launched Qovest, an AI investment research workbench for professional institutional investors. Users can submit a research request in one sentence, and the system automatically retrieves data, performs in-depth analysis, and generates a report, continuously tracking the research subject at a set frequency. The investment research workspace can accumulate research results, allowing research to continue and progress without starting from scratch. The official website www.qovest.cn has opened invitation-based testing to individual users, with subscriptions available in two tiers at 99 yuan and 199 yuan per month. An enterprise edition for financial institutions and corporate investment research teams will be launched soon.

In response to professional investors' requirements for real-time, accurate data and clearly sourced conclusions, the team purchased authoritative financial databases and deployed them on Alibaba Cloud, developed the self-built Harness Agent engineering framework for financial scenarios, and connected the entire process from data retrieval to analysis output. In horizontal evaluations on the open-source financial benchmark sets FinFirst and IRAB, Qovest led mainstream products participating in the evaluation in answer quality, response speed, and cost.

The Qovest homepage provides multiple investment research case templates, allowing users to select targets, set scheduled tasks, and connect trading notes. The humanoid robot industry chain case breaks down the per-unit value and localization level of each segment and outputs an interactive industry chain map; the data center power facilities case supports automatically recalculating investment scale after adjusting underlying assumptions. The tracking research on "gold ETFs" identifies variables such as international gold prices, the U.S. dollar index, global ETF holdings, and central bank gold purchases, automatically updates weekly, breaks down the proportion of exchange rate factors and rate hike expectations in gold price fluctuations, and generates a dynamic tracking dashboard.

The Qovest product lead said the goal is to hand over the time-consuming and highly repetitive parts of investment research to AI, leaving time for professional judgment. With finance as the entry point, Alibaba Cloud has packaged data, Agent frameworks, and workflows into standardized products. The implementation of AI in professional investment research is shifting from competition in model capabilities to competition in industry data and process capabilities.
