According to China Central Television News, on August 16, the fifth "Xiaobao Gong Cup" College Students' Empirical Legal Analysis Essay Competition award ceremony was held in Guangzhou. During the event, China's first vertical large model in the legal field - **"Xiaobao Gong Legal Content Large Model"** - was officially launched, and a "Artificial Intelligence + Law Laboratory Construction Seminar" was also held simultaneously. This move marks that China's legal artificial intelligence is entering a key period of scaled application from the stage of academic exploration.
This series of activities, through the format of "competition awards + achievement release + academic discussion", has built an integrated platform for "industry, academia, research, and application" in legal technology, aiming to provide comprehensive academic support for promoting the digitalization and popularization of China's legal services.
The "Xiaobao Gong Legal Content Large Model" developed by Professor Wang Yanling's team from the School of Law at South China Normal University has passed the deep synthesis service algorithm filing with the State Internet Information Office. The model adopts a dual-engine architecture of **"advanced general large model + professional vertical large model"**, deeply integrating more than 200 million court judgment documents and 4.2 million laws and regulations. Combined with legal knowledge graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, the model can accurately exclude the interference of "layman concepts" in various legal scenarios, providing traceable and verifiable legal basis and answers.
Compared with general large models, "Xiaobao Gong" has a dynamic learning mechanism, which can continuously iterate based on practical feedback and dynamically intervene in the accuracy of answers according to the law.
