Google has never publicly detailed the quality differences between these two video modes, but the new points system offers some clues. Users will receive 100 free points per month, with the production cost of one standard video being equivalent to five Fast videos. This means that if users prioritize faster generation speed, they can choose the Fast mode; if they value video quality more, they can focus on creating one standard Veo3 video.

For developers and commercial users, Flow also offers new API pricing. The API price for Fast videos is $0.040 per second, while the API price for standard videos is $0.0075 per second.
