According to the latest survey released by the Harvard Youth Poll, 59% of American young people (aged 18 to 29) are concerned about the potential impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on their job prospects. Among these young people, 26% consider this threat "serious," while only 23% say they are completely not worried.

Despite their concerns about AI, young people's use of AI tools is relatively widespread. 35% of respondents say they frequently use large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude, while 52% are willing to believe that AI can help in their studies or work. Notably, 63% of respondents have not used these AI tools yet.

In terms of their views on how AI will change the workplace, many young people hold a pessimistic outlook. 41% of respondents believe that AI will make future jobs less meaningful, while only 14% think that jobs will become more valuable because of AI.
