Payment giant Visa announced a $2.4 billion cash acquisition of Israeli AI fraud prevention company BioCatch, integrating its behavioral analysis and device intelligence technologies to enhance risk detection capabilities for account theft, fraud, fake accounts, and false account openings. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of March 2027. BioCatch was founded in 2011 and specializes in AI fraud prevention.
