On March 24th, Xiaomi launched the highly anticipated MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses 2, adding another innovative product to its smart wearable lineup. This glasses boasts a groundbreaking lightweight design. Optimized temple arm architecture, with a minimum thickness of just 5mm, results in an ultra-lightweight design starting at 27.6g, making it the first smart audio glasses under 30g. It features a second-generation quick-release structure, with a 70% reduction in the size of the connector, hidden hinges, and a customized honeycomb battery that is 40% smaller. The piano-wire super-elastic hinge, combined with ergonomic design, ensures comfortable wear. Five new frame styles are also available.

According to Canalys, in the third quarter of 2024, the global personal smart audio devices market experienced a strong rebound, with total shipments nearing 126 million units, representing a 15% increase year-over-year. This growth trend indicates that the market has successfully emerged from the sluggish state of 2023 and is showing a strong momentum of continuous recovery. All major sub-regions have benefited from this widespread growth, with all major product categories achieving double-digit growth in shipments. Among all markets, India's performance was especially notable, with a shipment increase of 51%, compared to 2023.

Since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, nearly 9% of the newly registered AI companies in China have either been canceled, revoked, or ceased operations, amounting to almost 80,000 businesses, which represents 8.9% of all new registrations during the same period. Over the past three years, more than 200,000 AI-related companies have been deregistered or revoked. In the last decade, 353,000 AI businesses have vanished. Currently, there are 1.8043 million AI-related companies in China, with more than 4,500 recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as part of the AI industry system, and over 180 large models providing services to the public.
