OpenAI Acquires Chat.com Domain for Estimated $20 Million
OpenAI announced the successful acquisition of the domain Chat.com, redirecting it to its AI chatbot ChatGPT, with an estimated price between $15 million and $20 million. This acquisition further enriches OpenAI's portfolio of premium domain assets in the online space. Since its registration in 1996, Chat.com has become one of the more well-known legacy domains on the internet. Last year, there were reports that Dharmes, the co-founder and CTO of HubSpot.
