Anthropic Releases Claude Opus5.5: Task Cost Reduced by 40%, Output Speed Increased by 30% - 7 Out of 9 Tests Lead Over GPT-6 Astra
Anthropic released the first model of the Claude5.5 series, Opus5.5, on September 23. The official stated that the performance of most tasks is comparable to Fable5.1, with a task cost reduced by 40% compared to the previous generation Opus5 and output speed increased by over 30%. It has been launched on Claude, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. In 9 tests, it outperformed Fable5.1, Opus5, and GPT-6 Astra, GPT-5.6 Sol in 7 tests, and achieved the highest scores in all three programming tests.
