Microsoft strongly promotes NPU, but consumers find it hard to find a reason to buy
Microsoft emphasizes the key role of the neural processing unit (NPU) in enhancing the intelligence of Windows, although it is not currently listed as a hardware requirement. The NPU is integrated with the CPU, accelerating local AI inference and reducing power consumption. It is widely used in smartphones and Copilot+ PCs.
