U.S. media giant Gannett shuts down product review site Reviewed, accused of publishing AI-generated reviews
U.S. media giant Gannett announced the closure of its product review site Reviewed on November 1, raising concerns. Reviewed is known for providing various product recommendations and professional reviews, but it has recently been embroiled in controversy over content sourcing, facing accusations from the employee union that the site used AI to generate review content. Gannett has denied the use of AI, stating that the content was written by the third-party marketing company AdVon. AdVon has previously faced controversy over similar issues, being accused of publishing AI-generated content in Sports Illustrated.
