AI Godfather Yoshua Bengio Announces Creation of Scientist AI System Aimed at Preventing Agent Deception
Noted computer scientist and AI godfather Yoshua Bengio recently announced the establishment of a non-profit organization called LawZero with the aim of developing an 'honest' artificial intelligence system to prevent AI agents from deceiving humans. On June 3rd, Bengio revealed during a press conference that the organization will focus on creating a security mechanism to ensure that AI does not try to deceive users or engage in self-preservation behaviors, such as evading shutdowns.
