Hudhayfa, a mathematics undergraduate born in the 2000s, built a miniature nuclear fusion reactor in his bedroom with the help of AI assistant Claude 3.5, overcoming the challenge of having no hardware experience. He familiarized himself with the parts and assembled the system, documenting the entire process on social media. In the first week, he learned how to use the tools; in the second week, he designed and assembled the main chamber and half-bridge converter; in the third week, he built the system in his bedroom, learning about circuit connections and vacuum pressure control; in the fourth week, he found a suitable neon transformer to generate plasma. Hudhayfa received remote assistance from several engineers to ensure safety.
