Alibaba Cloud Launches PolarDB AI Data Lake Database, Opening a New Era of AI-Native Databases
At the 2026 Developer Conference, Alibaba Cloud announced a major upgrade to PolarDB, introducing native AI capabilities such as the AI Data Lake Database, driving the evolution of databases from "cloud-native" to "AI-native." It introduced for the first time the four technical pillars of an "AI-Ready Database," lowering the development barrier through architectural restructuring and deeply integrating large model capabilities into the core of the database.
