Double Standards in ChatGPT News Recommendations - Significant Differences Between API and Web Interface
A study of 24,000 news AI answers in German-speaking regions found that the way users access ChatGPT significantly affects the news sources it recommends. The web interface tends to recommend mainstream media and partners, while the API provides a more diverse range of options. There are statistically significant differences between the two in terms of news source diversity, concentration, and political bias.
