LG Announces Entry into Humanoid Robot Market, Plans to Launch Subscription-Based AI Model Q9
South Korean electronics giant LG Electronics recently announced at CES 2025 that it will increase its investment in the development of humanoid robots, aiming for breakthroughs in this field using its AI model technology Q9. In recent years, LG has launched a series of service robots, such as the LG CLOi ServeBot and GuideBot, which primarily rely on wheeled mobility and possess limited flexibility and dexterity. LG Electronics CEO Kwon Bong-seok stated at the press conference that robots are the future of humanity.
