Rumble to Acquire German AI Cloud Company Northern Data for Approximately $1.2 Billion
US video platform Rumble plans to acquire German AI cloud company Northern Data for $1.17 billion, gaining its Taiga cloud business (including more than 20,000 high-end NVIDIA GPUs) and Ardent data centers. The transaction will be conducted through stock exchange, with Northern Data shareholders holding 33.3% of Rumble shares. Major shareholder Tether supports the transaction, and its cryptocurrency mining business will be divested prior to the deal. If successful, Tether will become a major customer of Rumble.
