Sarvam AI has raised $41 million in funding, led by Lightspeed, Khosla Ventures, and Peak XV. The company, which was founded only five months ago, is dedicated to building large language models that support Indian languages, with voice set as the default interface for the Indian market. They plan to launch their first model and become one of the emerging Indian companies in the global AI landscape. Founder Vivek Raghavan stated that through innovation and deployment, he has witnessed the immense value of innovating at a population scale.
