AI Translation Company Smartcat Raises $43 Million in Funding, Serves 1,000 Enterprise Clients
Boston-based startup Smartcat has raised $43 million in Series C funding to advance its AI translation platform. Founded just six years ago, Smartcat has served over 1,000 enterprises, including 20% of the Fortune 500 companies. Co-founder and CEO Ivan Smolnikov, a former physicist, aims to disrupt the traditional translation model by providing efficient multilingual content processing. The Smartcat platform supports translation in 280 languages and uses a 'matching engine'.
