Localized Computing: Speechify Launches Native Windows App to Challenge System-Level Speech-to-Text
Speechify launches a native Windows client, upgrading from a text-to-speech tool to a full-stack voice assistant. The app integrates three types of local AI models, supporting real-time speech-to-text and document transcription across applications, competing with products like Superwhisper. To ensure response speed and privacy, it supports fully localized operation on high-performance devices such as Copilot+ PCs, allowing users to use locally driven Whisper models via NPU or GPU without uploading audio to the cloud.
