AI Cheating is Becoming Commonplace, Professors Restart In-Person Exams, Students Exclaim ‘Huge Pressure’
After experiencing online examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional in-person exams have returned to our campuses. This shift is not only aimed at allowing students to relive the 'tense atmosphere' of real exams, but it also addresses a significant issue: the rampant cheating and the rise of artificial intelligence. Since intelligent tools like ChatGPT have entered our lives, the likelihood of cheating seems to have skyrocketed. According to Turnitin's data, the AI detection feature launched in April 2023 discovered unexpected amounts of cheating within its first year.
