F1 Uses AI to Monitor Track Limit Violations at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The FIA will use computer vision AI technology to monitor track limit violations at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This technology analyzes images to determine whether drivers have completely crossed the white line, constituting a violation. This can relieve pressure on FIA staff and improve response times. The additional AI layer may reduce the potential number of infractions that require human review. The FIA states that this represents a future direction for automated real-time regulation.
