The world's largest eyewear manufacturer, EssilorLuxottica, announced in its latest financial report that the sales of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, developed in collaboration with Meta, have increased by more than double. Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica, and Paul du Saillant, Deputy CEO, emphasized the company's leading position in the smart glasses field in a joint statement. They said, "We are leading the transformation of eyewear as the next computing platform, where artificial intelligence, sensing technology, and data-rich healthcare infrastructure will come together to empower people and unlock our full potential." They also noted that the success of Ray-Ban Meta, the launch of Oakley Meta Performance AI glasses, and the positive response to Nuance Audio are important milestones in this emerging field.

In June this year, EssilorLuxottica launched the new Oakley Meta smart glasses, the latest product line in its collaboration with Meta. In September last year, Meta and EssilorLuxottica renewed a ten-year cooperation agreement aimed at jointly developing multiple generations of smart glasses products, indicating deeper cooperation between the two sides in the smart glasses field in the future. Previously, it was reported that Meta and EssilorLuxottica also plan to launch smart glasses under the Prada brand in the future.

EssilorLuxottica owns several well-known eyewear brands, including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vogue Eyewear, and Persol. The strong growth in its smart glasses business not only demonstrates the company's strength in integrating technology and fashion but also lays a solid foundation for its position in the smart wearable device market.
