On September 11, Alipay announced the launch of China's first "AI Pay" service at the 2025 Inclusion · Bund Conference, providing payment services for intelligent entities in the AI era. The service was initially launched on Luck AI, the AI ordering assistant of Luckin Coffee. Users can place orders and pay by speaking through the Luckin Coffee Alipay mini program or the Luckin Coffee App. This is the first time the entire order and payment process within an intelligent entity has been integrated, offering a seamless AI service experience.

For example, when ordering coffee, users used to have to switch to a payment page and manually confirm. Now, by calling up "Lucky AI" in the Luckin Coffee Alipay mini program or the Luckin Coffee App, users can not only say a sentence to order coffee but also simply say "place an order" to complete identity verification and make a payment. Throughout this process, users don't need to leave the AI conversation interface, making it as simple and natural as chatting with a store employee.

Pu Yu, Director of the Product Department at Luckin Coffee's Technology Center, stated that the launch of "Alipay AI Pay" on "Lucky AI" not only brings a new coffee consumption experience to users, but also unleashes the imagination of "coffee + AI", laying the foundation for Luckin's future expansion into more service scenarios. In the future, Luckin will continue to increase technology application and upgrade user experience, creating a new model for AI services in China's coffee market.

Zhu Lin, Chief Technology Officer of Ant Group's Digital Payment Business Unit, said that payment services have always been committed to solving the two major issues of security trust and convenience in payments through product innovation. This time, providing an "AI Order + Payment" solution for intelligent entities aims to serve the needs of users, industries, and the times, and become a key to activating the AI industry ecosystem.
Zhu Lin believes that with the explosive growth of the AI industry and the popularity of smart terminals, the proportion of more natural new interactive payments is expected to exceed 50% within the next five years. The number of diversified smart device payments will grow tenfold, and the market size of more intelligent AI payments could reach trillions.
According to reports, Alipay is working to build payment services for the AI era, constructing a "payment infrastructure" that integrates AI interaction services. So far, Alipay has launched the following:
● China's first "Payment MCP Server," allowing AI intelligent entities to connect to Alipay payment services with one click;
● China's first "AI Tip" service, providing developers with convenient payment capabilities for collecting tips or donations within AI intelligent entities;
● China's first "AI Subscription Payment" function, supporting developers to easily integrate and charge based on service frequency or duration;
● The world's first smart glasses payment service, "Look and Pay," allowing users to pay by looking at the merchant's QR code or payment device while wearing glasses;
● China's first intelligent entity payment service, "Alipay AI Pay," enabling users to order and pay by speaking.
Industry experts noted that as AI technology is increasingly applied across various industries, payments within the AI ecosystem have become a focal point. The launch of "Alipay AI Pay" further completes the commercial loop from AI services to payments, promoting the prosperity of the AI ecosystem.
