Recently, a YouTube channel named "Woman Shot AI" was deleted by the platform for its AI-generated video content. Since its establishment on June 20, 2025, the channel has attracted over 175,000 views, published 27 videos, and accumulated nearly 1,200 subscribers. Shockingly, these videos all feature extremely violent scenes, showing women begging for survival when being pointed at with a gun.
According to a report by 404 Media, the videos on the channel followed a similar format, including well-known game characters such as Lara Croft from "Tomb Raider." In these videos, female characters are often subjected to violence, and one video even showed Russian soldiers shooting Ukrainian women who were crying, with flags pinned on their chests.
The creator of the channel also used options with racist undertones in the videos, allowing viewers to vote for the next "victim" in the videos, revealing extreme misogyny and twisted preferences. This highly controversial content sparked significant attention and anxiety on social media platforms.
After 404 Media requested comments from YouTube, the channel was eventually deleted. A YouTube spokesperson stated that the channel was closed for violating the service terms, especially because it had previously been banned. The channel used Google's newly launched text-to-video generation tool Veo 3, although this tool has certain generation limitations, the channel creator bypassed these restrictions by using multiple accounts. The spokesperson noted that Google has clear policies regarding the use of its AI generation tools and is continuously improving its management mechanisms.
This incident once again raised people's concerns about AI-generated content, especially cases where AI technology is misused. While AI technology has broad application prospects, it also carries potential ethical and legal risks, which require better regulation and guidance.
