Microsoft has officially launched the new Microsoft 365 Premium subscription service. This service combines Copilot Pro and Microsoft 365 Family, priced at $19.99 per month, matching the price of OpenAI's ChatGPT Plus. This upgrade aims to provide individual users and professionals with stronger office productivity and AI application capabilities.
According to Gareth Oystryk, Director of Marketing for Microsoft Copilot Pro and Microsoft 365 Advanced, this subscription will be the strongest AI and office productivity solution available for individual users. Users will be able to enjoy integrated office software and Copilot, along with the highest AI usage limits and exclusive features.
The Microsoft 365 Premium subscription will unlock various AI features, including GPT-4o image generation, voice interaction, Copilot Podcasts, Deep Research, Vision, and Actions. Additionally, users will enjoy all the benefits of Microsoft 365 Family, such as 1TB of cloud storage per user and Office desktop applications shared among up to six people.
Notably, Microsoft also announced that the Researcher and Analyst reasoning agents will be made available to Premium users. These features will be launched in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. At the same time, Microsoft allows personal and family subscription users to enable Copilot AI features in enterprise environments. Users can simply log in to office software using their personal Microsoft account to enjoy the AI experience while still benefiting from enterprise-level data protection and compliance security.
