Recently, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education released the "Action Plan for 'Artificial Intelligence + Education' in Shaanxi (2025-2027)", aiming to comprehensively improve the province's educational level, especially in the application and development of artificial intelligence. According to the plan, by 2027, Shaanxi will gradually establish around five artificial intelligence colleges to provide students with more systematic and professional education.

In this action plan, Shaanxi plans to fully implement artificial intelligence education requirements at the primary and secondary school levels, striving to cultivate around 20 national-level artificial intelligence education bases for primary and secondary schools. These bases will become front-line places for students to access and learn about artificial intelligence, allowing more children to be exposed to this emerging technology from a young age and stimulating their interest in learning and innovative thinking.

At the same time, Shaanxi will strengthen the construction of vocational colleges, planning to establish 10 high-quality "AI + Specialized Groups" and virtual simulation training bases in vocational colleges. These bases will provide students with practical opportunities, helping them master artificial intelligence-related skills and enhance their employment competitiveness.

In higher education, Shaanxi will layout around 60 high-quality disciplines and specialties to improve the quality of education in the field of artificial intelligence in universities. In addition, the plan includes initiating 30 research projects and building "Artificial Intelligence + Education" key laboratories to promote the deep integration of research and teaching.

To achieve these goals, Shaanxi also plans to train approximately 500 backbone teachers, enhancing their professional qualities to ensure they can provide high-quality teaching to students. At the same time, the plan will select a batch of typical application scenario cases in five areas: teaching management, evaluation, and research, and build about 100 experimental schools to provide students with platforms for practice and experimentation, promoting high-quality educational development and the construction of an education-strong province.
