According to the latest report from Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Apple's future smart glasses (which may be a product more similar to the Meta Ray-Ban Display) are exploring a key interface design: two separate user interfaces.
This news further confirms Gurman's previous rumors that Apple is shifting some resources from the Vision Pro to a more lightweight smart glasses product.
This smart glasses may still run the visionOS operating system, but its user interface will dynamically switch based on the paired device:
Full version of the operating system: When the device is paired with a Mac computer, the smart glasses will run the full version of visionOS.
Lightweight/mobility interface: When the device is connected to an iPhone phone, the interface will switch to a lighter and more mobile-friendly mode.
This design approach shows that Apple is working to create a wearable device that is highly adaptable and provides the best experience in different usage scenarios.
