At the 2025 World Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Conference, China Agricultural University released the Shennong Large Model 3.0 on October 13th. This new version of the large model covers the entire field of agricultural disciplines and application scenarios across the country, marking a new stage in the development of agricultural artificial intelligence in China.
The Shennong Large Model 3.0 focuses on 36 agricultural intelligent agents, with the core goal of achieving "small size, high intelligence, and low cost." The model released this time has three versions: 32B, 7B, and 1B. It uses dynamic sparsity mechanisms and incremental compression technology, which reduces the computing power by 50%. At the same time, the performance loss for key tasks is kept below 1%, and this innovation has driven the development of agricultural AI from "usable" to "user-friendly and accessible."
Along with the release of the Shennong Large Model 3.0, the team also launched the "Shennong Large Model Intelligent Agent Platform," building a lightweight, deployable, and collaborative AI application ecosystem that covers the entire agricultural supply chain. The platform deeply integrates the Shennong Large Model 3.0 and is compatible with mainstream general large models, supporting flexible deployment of intelligent agents in different environments.
The team also launched three specialized all-in-one machines: "Shennong - Qihang" (compatible with the 1B model), "Shennong - Tuojiang" (compatible with the 7B model), and "Shennong - Zhizhen" (compatible with the 32B model). These all-in-one machines have the feature of "out-of-the-box use," and can run even without an internet connection. Additionally, their three-proof design makes them suitable for various harsh environments such as fields, greenhouses, and processing workshops.
The Shennong Large Model has been applied and promoted in areas such as the suburbs of Beijing, Inner Mongolia, and Heilongjiang, serving more than 100,000 users.
