At the recent TikTok Creators Summit in the United States, TikTok announced three new features designed to help content creators produce videos more efficiently and increase their earnings. These new features include an AI-driven video editing tool called "Smart Split," a content planning tool called "AI Outline," and an updated creator revenue-sharing policy. These innovations aim to enhance creators' efficiency and monetization capabilities throughout the entire process from content planning to the final production.

"Smart Split" is an AI-powered editing tool that automatically splits long videos longer than one minute into multiple short clips suitable for mobile viewing. More conveniently, the tool also generates subtitles for each clip automatically. Creators only need to select the parts they want to trim, and the rest of the editing and subtitle generation is handled by AI. This feature is particularly useful for scenarios such as podcast recordings or continuous camera filming and is now available globally through the TikTok Studio Web management platform.
At the same time, TikTok also launched "AI Outline," a content planning tool. Creators can input prompts or select popular topics, and the AI will automatically generate a video outline, including the title, tags, engaging opening sentence, and script ideas. This tool is currently available only to creators aged 18 and above in the United States, Canada, and some other markets, and will gradually expand to more regions in the future.
In addition, TikTok has upgraded its revenue-sharing policy for creators offering paid subscription services. Creators who meet certain conditions, such as having 10,000 monthly active followers, 100,000 monthly views, and posting at least three subscription-based videos per month, can receive a revenue share of up to 90%. The general subscription revenue-sharing policy is 70%, with deductions for platform fees before settlement. This update is seen as an important step by TikTok in promoting the creator toolchain and encouraging the production of high-quality content, which may lead to a new trend of combining short videos with artificial intelligence.
