Meituan announced that its first AI-integrated development environment (IDE) product, Meituan CatPaw, has officially entered the public beta phase. The product is centered around intelligent Agent and human collaboration, aiming to improve programming and provide developers with an intelligent programming experience. Users can download and install it on the official website and apply for an invitation code to experience it. Initial accounts can initiate 500 interactions, and after completion, users can apply for increased quotas.

CatPaw has two working modes: Ask mode and Agent. Ask mode is suitable for simple question-and-answer tasks, where users need to manually select the context; while the Agent mode is more suitable for complex project questions and analysis, and the system will automatically detect and supplement information.
During the coding process, CatPaw provides real-time coding suggestions, helping developers complete writing more efficiently. Users can quickly accept the system's completion suggestions by pressing the Tab key. Users can also configure rules () and documents (Docs) to provide additional context information for the Agent, further improving the effectiveness of task execution.
In terms of project debugging, CatPaw supports project preview and debugging. After completing front-end coding, users can start the project in CatP. At the same time, CatPaw also allows quick modification of preview elements and can fix errors that occur when the key is pressed.
Additionally, the Docs of CatPaw allows users to add common knowledge bases, making it convenient to access relevant information during conversations. Users can also paste links to provide the Agent with more temporary information. These features aim to make the coding and debugging process more convenient and efficient.
