Google announced the official expansion of its AI travel tool suite: Flight Deals now covers 200+ countries and regions, supporting price comparisons in 60 languages; the desktop version's AI Mode now includes a Canvas sidebar, which can aggregate flights, hotels, and map reviews in real time and generate an itinerary draft; the agent booking capability is also now available to all users in the US, with direct booking features for flights and hotels set to launch in the coming weeks.

The process is extremely simple: users input natural language needs in Search or Google Flights, and Flight Deals instantly returns low-cost flight options; clicking "Create with Canvas" provides a complete itinerary including flights, hotels, restaurants, and activities. Users can continue to ask questions like "How to choose a place that is close to brunch but far from hiking," and the AI will immediately weigh the options and provide a ranking. Google stated that Canvas uses real-time flight inventory, hotel prices, and street view data to ensure that price comparisons and recommendations are immediately actionable.

In terms of agent bookings, AI Mode has integrated platforms such as OpenTable and Resy. Users just need to describe the number of people, time, and preferences, and the system will return a list of available restaurant reservations and support one-click booking. The flight and hotel interfaces are currently in testing and will support price comparisons, schedules, room photos, and reviews. The ultimate goal is to complete the payment loop on the search page. Google said all features will use the existing advertising and commission model, with no additional fees for now.
