Anthropic announced that Claude Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5, and Opus 4.1 are now generally available on Microsoft Foundry. Enterprises can call these models via the Azure serverless API with a single click, and the costs will be billed against existing Azure commitment (MACC), without requiring additional contract approvals.
The new version of Claude supports Python, TypeScript, and C# SDKs, as well as Entra authentication, and is integrated with the Claude Code programming assistant. Excel Agent Mode now natively calls Claude, allowing users to generate formulas, diagnose errors, and output analytical reports directly within spreadsheets. The Researcher multi-step research agent and custom agent features in Copilot Studio have also been upgraded, enabling users to complete complex tasks within the Microsoft 365 workflow without purchasing across platforms.
Anthropic handles cloud operations and capacity scheduling, while developers can launch their applications by paying for the usage through standard APIs. According to the official documentation, all models offer enterprise-grade features such as code execution, web search, visual analysis, tool invocation, and prompt caching. The public testing region currently covers North America and Europe, with Asia-Pacific nodes expected to open next month.
