On December 3rd, multiple users of the nubia M153 engineering device developed in collaboration with Doubao and ZTE reported being unable to log in to WeChat. The WeChat page displayed "There is an abnormality in your WeChat login environment." WeChat responded by stating that it might be due to "security risk control measures," while the Doubao team said they are currently verifying the issue.
According to reports, some users mentioned that during testing, they were unable to log in to WeChat. After switching accounts, they were automatically logged out again when transferring chat records. Other users said they found WeChat had automatically logged out in the morning. Additionally, the Doubao Phone Assistant prompted "Task Failed" when performing tasks involving WeChat functions, and stated "WeChat operations are not currently supported."
The administrator of a related discussion group responded: "We have found that using the Doubao Phone Assistant on the nubia M153 can cause WeChat to crash or prevent login. The specific situation is still under verification, and in the meantime, please avoid using the phone's functions or log out of WeChat on the M153." A representative from WeChat said: "From what we understand so far, there has been no special action. It may be due to WeChat's security risk control measures."
Doubao Phone Assistant is an AI assistant software developed through cooperation between ByteDance and mobile phone manufacturers at the operating system level, enabling complex multi-step operations across applications via voice commands.
