This innovative experiment was conducted on the TuoMai Surgical Robot platform, marking a significant leap in surgical autonomy technology.

In this experiment, the research team performed surgery on a 30-kilogram experimental pig, with all key steps completed using AI technology, including bile duct clamping and cutting. Notably, the experiment used a dual-layer intelligent architecture consisting of high-level decision-making (HL) and low-level execution (LL), ensuring high precision and efficiency. According to the experimental data, the success rate of local operations reached 88%, and the entire surgery was successful in one attempt, an impressive achievement.

This achievement not only demonstrates the huge potential of AI technology in the medical field but also marks a shift from traditional surgical control based on machine vision and preset rules to a new autonomous control model centered around large models. This new operational paradigm lays a solid foundation for future clinical and commercial applications, opening a new chapter in intelligent healthcare.
