Bona Film Group recently disclosed on its investor interaction platform that its first AI-driven short series "Sanxingdui: The Future Revelation" has surpassed 160 million views across all online platforms since its launch, demonstrating the strong dissemination power and user appeal of AI + cultural IP.
More notably, the AI-native animated film "Sanxingdui: The Past of the Future," developed based on the same IP, was officially filed for approval on September 4, 2025, and is now in the final stage of production, with related review processes proceeding simultaneously. This film is not simply using AI-assisted drawing; it deeply integrates AI technology throughout the entire process, from script generation, character design, scene construction to animation rendering, and is seen as an important attempt for China's film industry to transition toward "AI-native creation."
To empower the industry ecosystem, Bona Film Group has also launched two AI creation tools:
- "Bolue One-Click AI Short Series": supports users in quickly generating storyboards, dialogues, and basic animations, lowering the barrier to short series creation;
- "Bolue Roundtable": provides a multi-agent collaboration platform, simulating discussions and optimization of creative ideas among roles such as screenwriters, directors, and artists.
Currently, these two tools have been officially launched and are open for co-creation cooperation with film and television industry creators, aiming to build a new content production model of "IP + AI + Creators."
However, Bona Film Group also cautiously reminds: the revenue from AI-related businesses still accounts for a small portion of the company's overall revenue, and there are still uncertainties regarding technological iteration, market acceptance, and commercialization paths. It reminds investors to rationally view the short-term hype and focus on long-term implementation results.
