When a car can not only respond to commands but also understand the intent behind your words, and even proactively help you complete a series of complex operations—this is no longer a scene from science fiction. Volvo's all-electric SUV EX60, set to be officially released on January 21st, will become the world's first mass-produced vehicle integrated with Google's latest large language model, Gemini, marking the beginning of the true "conversational AI" era for intelligent cabins.

The new vehicle computing platform equipped in the EX60 is called "Raven Core," which integrates high-performance automotive chips from Qualcomm and NVIDIA at its core, building a powerful local and cloud collaboration computing foundation. With this system, users don't need to memorize fixed commands; they can simply naturally say, "I'm a bit cold, increase the temperature, close the sunroof slightly, and play some light music," and the vehicle will execute multi-step operations simultaneously, accurately understanding context and situations.

The core of this capability is Google's Gemini large language model. Unlike traditional voice assistants that can only recognize keywords, Gemini gives the EX60 stronger reasoning, memory, and task planning capabilities, enabling it to shift from "passive response" to "proactive service." More importantly, the system supports continuous evolution through OTA updates—future new features such as automatic trip planning, cross-device calendar synchronization, or personalized driving recommendations will be seamlessly added through software updates.

To match this intelligent experience, the interior design of the EX60 has also taken on a minimalist tech style. The preview image shows that the center console has almost eliminated all physical buttons, replaced by a large vertical touchscreen. The interface style continues from the flagship EX90, with a backlit multifunctional roller at the bottom, balancing operational efficiency and visual purity. As the electric successor to the XC60, the EX60 inherits Volvo's safety heritage while redefining the relationship between people and cars through AI.

Notably, early owners will enjoy four years of free data services, ensuring that the Gemini function remains online throughout and eliminates concerns about data usage. Meanwhile, the "Raven Core" platform will gradually expand to other electric models of Volvo and its subsidiary Polestar, forming a unified intelligent ecosystem.

When cars are no longer just means of transportation, but mobile intelligent entities with the ability to understand, act, and learn, the EX60 may be the starting point of this transformation—it doesn't just take you to your destination, but also understands the reason why you want to go there.
