On February 4th, it was reported that the Ant A Fu App has recently completed an important upgrade, launching a "Elder Mode" specifically designed for elderly users. In Elder Mode, the text and icons are larger, voice interaction is default, and users can directly call A Fu to consult about health issues. Since the launch of A Fu, it has supported questions in more than ten dialects such as Cantonese and Hokkien, making communication between the elderly and A Fu smoother.
At the same time, the upgraded A Fu App also supports customizing the "A Fu" character. Currently, three digital human styles are available for selection, with more characters planned for future release.
A Fu "Elder Mode": Larger Text, Can Also Call to Consult
As the largest health AI in China, Ant A Fu has become a health partner for many elderly users. Data shows that users aged 50s and 60s account for 20% of A Fu's user base.
To further improve the user experience for elderly users, the Ant A Fu App upgraded the "Elder Mode," allowing users to directly type "Elder Mode" in the chat box on the A Fu home screen to switch with one click.
After enabling "Elder Mode," the A Fu App interface will display larger text and icons, making it clearer and more prominent. The chat box defaults to voice input mode, and A Fu's responses will be clearly announced in voice form.
In addition, A Fu has enhanced its ability to recognize dialects, supporting questions in more than ten local languages. Ms. Chen from Guangdong taught her parents how to use the A Fu App, saying that her parents now ask questions to A Fu directly in Cantonese, which is very convenient.
"A Fu" Character Now Supports Customization
Another highlight of this A Fu upgrade is the support for users to customize the visual appearance of the "A Fu" digital human. Three digital human styles are initially available, and users can select and switch them by clicking on the "A Fu" character on the home screen. Clicking "Try Me" allows direct communication with A Fu via phone. This feature is being rolled out gradually and will be fully launched soon.

The product manager of A Fu stated that A Fu is positioned as an AI doctor friend, and different users have different needs for the image of their doctor friend. In the future, more digital human appearances will be added for user selection.
