Google has officially launched its new image generation model, Nano Banana2. Built on the Gemini3.1Flash Image architecture, this model not only significantly improves in understanding capabilities and response speed compared to its predecessor, but also deeply optimizes based on user feedback.

Regarding common issues in AI-generated images, Nano Banana2 has focused on fixing problems such as Chinese character encoding errors, semantic expression confusion, and image artifacts. According to the official comparison images, the new model is now able to generate clear and accurate Chinese text, greatly enhancing the usability of creation in the Chinese context.

In terms of performance parameters, Nano Banana2 has undergone a comprehensive upgrade:

  • Image Quality Leap: Output resolution has been upgraded from 2K to 4K, with stronger detail expression.

  • Enhanced Consistency: Supports maintaining the consistency of up to 5 character appearances across multiple generated images.

  • Complex Scene Handling: Can accurately integrate up to 14 different design elements within a single image.

Currently, Google plans to gradually integrate this model into Gemini, search engine, Google AI Studio, and the AI creative tool Google Flow. In addition, paid API services and Google Ads will also complete the model replacement in due course.
