Microsoft announced yesterday (March 5) that its Bing Video Creator has been fully upgraded and officially integrated with OpenAI's latest Sora 2 video generation model.

Since the launch of the Bing Video Creator service in June 2025, it has always been freely available to all users, aiming to lower the barrier to AI video creation. After upgrading to the Sora 2 model, the quality of video generation has made a significant leap:

  • Stronger visual expression: The video actions are more dynamic, achieving photo-realistic visual effects.

  • Higher coherence: Improved execution of complex instructions across scenes, allowing for more accurate maintenance of object and environment consistency in the video.

  • Native audio integration: The new system supports synchronized generation of sound effects, voice, and background tracks, making AI videos no longer "silent."

To ensure content transparency and traceability, Microsoft has introduced a strict identification mechanism in the generated videos, including automatically adding visual watermarks and embedding C2PA digital credentials that meet industry standards, to clearly distinguish AI-generated content from real footage.

In terms of quotas, all Bing users can get 10 free "fast video generation" opportunities. After the quota is exhausted, users can still enjoy unlimited slow-generation services or redeem additional fast-generation opportunities by using Microsoft Rewards points.

Key Points

  • 🎬 Major Model Upgrade: Fully integrated with Sora 2, supporting the generation of more complex, coherent, and high-quality videos.

  • 🔊 Audio-Visual Integration: New native audio features, supporting automatic matching of sound effects and voice to video prompts.

  • 🆓 Free for Everyone: Continuing the free strategy, offering daily fast quotas and unlimited slow-generation services.

  • 🛡️ Secure and Traceable: Mandatory embedding of visual watermarks and C2PA credentials to ensure compliance of AI content.
